Bless your heart for doing that by hand. I did it for years and I retired my hands from it. It looks 'real purty'. Keep it up. It's going to be beautiful!

I know this is a border fabric from another post that you did. Is there any quilting in the center of the quilt or is it at least well pinned? Like Blondie said, begin in the middle of the quilt and work out toward the edges. I'm not sure that simply quilting around the border of the quilt is going to give you what you want.

I thought it looked fine...I like hand quilting because it does make the quilt look handmade...

just a quick,,,,,i love love your turtles and sandstars,,,,,,,,five stitches and my fingers are numb,,,so all you ladies that do this hand stitching i admire so much,,,,,,,,,,

I watched an Amish lady hand quilt in Pennsylvania one summer and she mentioned that the fabric can only be tight enough in the hoop to enable you to go under the bottom layer and be able to push your finger up to make a little peak, then you know you have the right tautness in your hoop...

Just remember everyone develops their own way of stitching that works best for them. I doubt any of us quilt the same way. I love the way it is going to look. Very pretty! Take all the hints you get and you will find what works best for you. And remember, "There are no Quilt Police"! Hugs, Jan L.
