Default Re: MATH QUESTION REGARDING BORDERS

I would like the border to be 1.5 wide and will cut the border 2.00 to allow for 1/4" seams. If I do decide to do a 2" border I will cut the borders 2.5 that is why I want to make sure I don't cut off too much from the quilt top because it has a print which I have attached a picture in my album it is the turquose blue with the trutles on it.

When you say you want 1.5" borders, are you saying that is how wide the finished border will be, or how wide you will be cutting the stripes to make the borders?
