Yes you will need a walking foot to quilt the quilt if you "SITD". but if you do FMG on the whole quilt you would still need a walking foot to sew the binding on it. Unless you have one of the new sewing machine that have it built in,(don't remember what it is called right now). Others on here will give you even better advise than me.
