My Brother Machine May Fly, Too
I have an inexpensive Brother for sewing patchwork, and a much more expensive Juki (installed on my Grace loom) for quilting. I have been having problems with the Brother lately which I think is tension related. What it is doing is bunching up the fabric as I sew, sort of like making a ruffle. After I snip my patches apart, I have to stretch them to make the fabric lay flat. I have rethreaded the machine, changed out the needle, and cleaned it out of all lint including the feed dogs. I have adjusted the tension every which way possible. I have read the instruction manual on how a stitch looks when the tension is too loose, too tight, and just right. I just don't know what to do short of getting a new machine. Any ideas?
