Default walking foot: can't see where i'm sewing!

    Is this normal?

I am trying to sew "in the ditch" of my quilt, but i cannot see where my seam is lined up that well in the tiny hole of my walking foot! it's so frustrating and my eyes are killing me.

It's the first time I used the walking foot, and the back of my quilt does look great, no puckers or pleats at ALL. I love that part. But is it normal to not be able to see where you're sewing??

My machine came with an open toe walking foot which makes it easy to see where I'm sewing.

Lindsay - don't you feel much better after you've whacked yourself upside the head a few times. Happens to me almost daily!!
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
