    Question Pattern Ideas?!

    Hey Everyone.
So as always I'm planning projects before I even finish what I have started. I was asked earlier today to make a bedsized quilt (Queen or King) for a friend of mine. Her sister-in-law and brother are planning on starting the build for their new house in June, and the sister-in-law wants a quilt for their bed. (So obviously I have more than enough time). Anyways, I went ahead and ordered the fabric today, that way I'd already have it once I was ready to start on it. Only problem is, I can't find a pattern I like that would make the quilt an acceptable size. She's a good 'ole country girl, so she'd prefer something a little more traditional. Which made me think of doing a sampler quilt, but I just can't decide. The fabric I chose was the Butterscotch & Rose fabric (by Moday I think).

Does anyone have any pattern suggestions??
I would GREATLY appreciate some ideas. For once I'm stumped.

I looked up the Butterscotch and Rose fabric. That is a pretty fabric. How about a Fence Rail quilt. That is traditional and would be lovely.

Just put the borders on a D9P out of Butterscotch and Rose. I think this fabric line needs a scrappy look if you are using all the prints. I had charm packs so I had parts from the whole collection. I have not been able to upload photo since the last changes, but if you let me know I will send a photo by e-mail.

I'd love to see a picture. I'll send you a message with my email. And I got a fat quarter bundle so I'll have the whole collection.

I made a queen/king size one for my kids at Christmas and did Jacobs ladder. It looked really nice and they love it. It's not as hard to do as it looks. You can see it in my album if you want. : )

You could always separate the lights and darks and do a log cabin with that size your designing options are endless. Star, barn raising...anything goes. Very pretty I love Moda I'm using a print from that line in a current project.

Divine Daisy, thanks for that link. I'm doing the stars with the Butterscotch & Roses line, and that will be the perfect way to enlarge to a queen size quilt!

Divine Daisy! I do love that pattern, however the second I saw it I thought of another fabric to use with it! Lol like I said, I've got so many projects started and just as many in my head... I need to get more organized

Thanks for all the ideas so far ladies!
