Need help in designing quilt with different size blocks

The t-shirt quilt I made was made up of different sized blocks. I had 3 different widths that I sorted the blocks in and then arranged them in columns according to width. When laying it out I had to move some blocks to other columns in order to even the length out. After I sewed the blocks together in the columns, I sewed the columns together. I didn't use any sashing between any of the blocks and only used a small border around the quilt. Surprisingly it turned out well. Good luck!

Think of it as a PUZZLE...get your blocks done and on the design wall..then figure out the size and color of "bridge" you will need to get it to match it's surrounding blocks. This is a time consuming method,, so don't rush the process... Granny
