You can make these using a sewing machine. Kay Wood shows how to do it in multiple videos. Her examples use larger hexagons but in time and practice you can make them smaller using your sewing machine. I tried it for fun once a few years ago and made a couple blocks.

I know I've seen a video by Kay many times but can't find it on YouTube or Quilter's TV. I must have seen it on QNN when I was a subscriber. But here is a video unfortunately not by Kay on how to machine sew hexagons:
