The reason I say this is cause I had a Singer 2010 for hte last 25 years. Back then I had a repair man work on it a few times for jamming and he told me it was the cheap thread I was using. He said nothing but Dual Duty cotton covered poly. I started using that and it seldom got any fluff ar all. So when I got the new 9960 I still used the CCpoly and after awhile it did start to collect the fuzz. Also in reading here...I am quilting now so I wanted a quilting thread. Other than that I have had no trouble at all with the machine.
