When charts tell you the size of a quilt as being, twin, queen or king size.....does that mean twin, queen or king COMFORTER or BEDSPREAD? And I am going by the comforter as being about half way down the sides of the bed with a dust ruffle on the box springs that goes to the floor and a bedspread as being from the floor up over the bed and down to the floor on the other side and also from the top of the bed down the bed and over the bottom to the floor.

I decided to design and make bedspreads for the two twin beds I am putting in my extra bedroom (decorating it with a garden effect) and I hate comforters and dust ruffles. I can't stand the corners of the comforter sticking out/pointed out. And I've yet to see a dust ruffle that didn't look like an oversized ruffle that was forgotten to be sewed to the comforter!!! I just don't like them. So I want to do bedspreads...floor to floor all the way around. I know I could measure and do the math, but was hoping to be able to cheat just a little (isn't cheating legal in quilting?) and just add on each side if the "twin" size stated is comforter size and if it is bedspread measurements...no math at all! Quilting can be easy!!!!!!

Anyway...just keeping my spirits up as I can tell this is going to be a mamouth undertaking...and a long time in the works..and to make two identical ones? I need all the "cheats" I can get!

So...is the chart for comforters or bedspreads? Thanks in advance!!!
