Here's your tropical flower!!! I agree - do the applique and add three borders. Stupendous!

I think the applique and borders sound like a great idea. It would give your eyes somewhere to rest with all the big prints. I love love love love Amy Butler fabrics, bags, patterns, everything!

Jelly Roll quilt looks great and the suggestions are too. I like the idea of the borders and if you could find a nice enough flower to applique, yep.
