Hmmmm that is interesting - different machines love different threads. So.... any suggestions for a Janome 3160 QDC?

I have a Janome 6260QC, and I have to use Gutermann thread or 100% cotton thread. I had many old spools of Coats and Clark and it never gave me a problem but when I started buying new spools it did not take kindly to them. This is my first post. I have been sewing for 40plus years. We now live in the Missouri Ozarks but came here from North Dakota. Joan

Dakota Girl - welcome to Missouri! You are now the 2nd person to mention to me about the new Coats and Clark thread having issues. Will keep that in mind. Our kids live in Bentonville, AR - so we are hoping to move to SW Missouri in a few years! Love the fall in SW Missouri.

Well now I hadn't thought about that..the "new" spools of Coats and Clark. I had been using the Duel Duty for years and years, then I stopped sewing for about the last 10 and now picking it back up with quilting and a new machine. I had just bought new spools (when they were half price) of the CC/DD and used them on my new machine and they left so much fluff and fuzz in the bobbin cage it jammed the stitches. So I just got some 100% cotton and am just now working with it so have no report on that...but if quality of the CC/DD has changed...that could be why as that never happened on my other Singer I had for the last 25 years. Oh well... I will just use the new stuff onthe new machine and the CCDD on the old machine..which I use for making dresses for my grand daughters. THe new one I keep just for quilting. Always an answer for the quilter!

I too love the connecting threads brand... Gutermann does not work well for me in my Hus... but as i posted in the early part of this thread.... Superior Threads... has something for everyone... and lots of info to learn from... check out the videos....
