Oooh, oooh, me, can you see my hand up waving at the back of the room?
How many testers are you looking for BillNye??
Sent you my email. I hope I can help out.
How are you all doing with the pattern you have to test?
I'm working on mine, 2 more rows to go........and then another quilttop is done.
I had to get some fabric for mine. I'm also using yardage I had on hand (instead of charm packs and jelly rolls) so I've had to cut my pieces. It was great practice using my Shape Cut Pro for the first time. Half the pieces are cut. The other half will be cut and sewing gets underway this weekend.
Oh, darn it, I missed the boat. Hahahaha
Didn't see this post until now. What have I been doing???? Obviously looking with my eyes closed. :(
Hope you are all having fun with your test patterns :)
I did not use charms either, this is not a pattern I should have picked to make for myself, so I also cut everything from yardage I had on hand.
Now I'm working on this it is growing on me, so I might like it after all......
Can't wait to see what you all are making!!!
I'm testing the Jacob's Ladder pattern and it's going together well so far. Klasien, I had never considered making this pattern for myself either. I made 6 of the 16 blocks yesterday. The picture below is 4 blocks laid out and not sewn together. I had the red fabric on hand....it turns out it's a directional print but I'm not stressing if the designs aren't all going the same direction. This is a learning process and I'll be keeping this one for myself anyway.
Wauw Myrna, that is gorgeous!!!
The Jackobs Ladder always looks so hard to make to me, yours is very pretty!!!!
Can't believe that it's going so fast, looks super complicated, I watched the tutorial and really loved it!
I have to make one more block on mine, Valentines Heart, still not my favorite quilt, but I'm a little proud of myself that I did it........all the cutting, counting, HST all over the place........so in the end I might like mine as well.
I learned a lot on this project, and that's why I joined!!!!
Now on to my last block and the borders.
You did a super job on yours!!!!!!!!
Klasien, the Jacob's Ladder is not as hard as it looks. It's all 4-patch and HST blocks and they can be chain pieced. Like Jenny suggests in the tutorial, I keep a finished block handy and go by it to assemble each block.
