    Default 3 Dudes Grief

Although I have made several blocks using this pattern, I still am having difficulty on measurement. After stitching the strips together I measure it to get the inches for squaring it. The measurement fluctuates between 10-10 1/4". This shouldn't be driving me nuts, but it is. A 1/4" is a big deal in quilting. I can change the size lengthwise but not the width. The width is what changes. Has anyone else had this problem?

It could be your seams are off by a bit. Maybe the strips aren't cut as accurately as they should be-happens with purchased jelly rolls as well as ones we cut ourselves.

Coleen - that's only one of the reasons that I don't like that block . . . just saying!
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I would probably just go with the smallest measurement, so it's 10"...I'd cut them all 10" wide and trim the ones that are bigger to 10".
Come by and see what I'm up to on my blog...
