Take a look at the "flannel-backed satin". I have made PJ bottoms and trimmed flannel PJ tops with it. It is heavier than regular satin and has softer drape to it. It comes in several colors which remind me of sherbet flavors. It is usually in the apparel section.
I have also made a kit that had brocade in it. I did serge the edges of that before I incorporated it into the top.
