Cool My measurement accomplishment and delima of which way to press seams.....

I know the discussion has been gone over before, but....here are pics of the quilt I am making...I am sewing the strips onto the middle block and 2 of the 4 strips have a little square sewn to the end of it. I have pressed the seams to the dark...the red. HOwever...once turned over...the seams are not all going the same way. I plan to SITD this quilt so, is there a way that it'd look good to STID with the seams going opposite at times? OR should I just press the seams all the same way, no matter which color? I figure there are two reasons for the concern...1, dark colors don't shadow through lighter colors and 2..keep the thickness of the seamed area the same as opposed to some seams on one side and some on the other on the same length of fabric section.
So...what is the decision? toward dark color no matter what it ends up to be for SITD, or press all one way, no matter the color, but for STID...all seasm are on same side?

I am also very proiud of myself.. and just have to pat myself on the back. This is my first attempt at making the squares/seams/corners all match up perfectly...I did all the calculations and then when I did the cutting (of the squares and strips) I added scant 1/8 inch..so if the strip measured 12,1/2 (1/2 for seams allow), I'd cut it 12,1/2, plus a scant (or probably exactly) 1/8 inch and went just past the 12,1/2in line...Guess that'd be 12,5/8inch. But it worked. Everything sewed up perfectly square, equal and matching!
