Default How do I figure out how many squares to use across from 7 charm packs and down?

I have 7 charm packs that have 42 squares in each pack and I am making a queen sized quilt. On the tutorial it doesn't tell how to figure that out for any size quilt. The teacher is making a twin size and she used 5 packs and used 9 across and I don't know how much down. I am new and don't know the math used. Help! I really wan't to get started.

Hmmm, I thought I saw a post that had a chart of how much you get from charm squares, jellyrolls, and ect, but I may be wrong. Maybe someone else will jump in and be able to answer you.

Found it, if you go to Minnesota Charms .com, there is a chart posted there of how many charm squares make up finished sizes. Hope this helps you.

Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!
