I've used it and I thought it definitely made a difference. Really made it slippery.
Were you able to buy it locally or did you purchase it online?
I have heard of the Sullivans silicone spray but have not used it. Right now I use pledge furniture polish and it makes everything really slippery for me.
Word of caution...if you have hardwood floors make sure not to overspray on them...I've done this a few times and about broke my neck!
If furniture polish works and is safe for using with fabric why not use that and not use the expensive silicone spray? Have others used the furniture polish with good results?
Have any of you tried those silicone sheets on the bed of the machine when FMQing?
Is this what you're talking about:

I haven't tried any kind of silicone yet.
Jean- I took a FMQ class and I purchased the Supreme Slider. It really did make a difference! I don't use mine much but that is because I just don't enjoy FMQ on my domestic machine. But I do use it when I make a wallhanging as I don't mind doing FMQ on smaller items.
I have used the Sullivan silicone spray and it did make a difference. I found it at Hancock just late last year.
I have thought about buying the free motion slider...but I haven't tried the spray either. I don't have an extension table, so my thought was that the slider would be a better choice for me. Looking forward to seeing other's responses concerning this type of stuff!
Jean, I don't know what happened to you, but I also had a Major Malfunction with that slider sheet. Not saying it didn't work...it did. Really well. I didn't. I can be very creative when screwing things up.
Maybe I should just say that if you are going to use the sheet, it would be wise to tape it or glue it or nail it down to something. It isn't very easy to unsew it from your fmq project.
oops!
maybe I will try the spray. the dusting kind. I already have that. maybe I should get some skis first tho....or elbow & knee pads... and maybe a helmet...
I have watched Leah Day's tutorials and she swears by those silicone or Teflon sheets whichever they are, but she seems to be very patient and good with what she does...not sure how it would work for a klutz like me.
I have used both the spray and superslider. The first time I used the superslider it got caught in the quilting. What a bear to rip out! So now I tape the edges down. I still have the holes in the slider to remind me to tape it down. I use the spray on the table on the left of my quilting table. The spray really helps the quilt move over the table
I would never use furniture polish as it has waxes and oils which can stain fabrics!
Rhonda got a supreme slider and she really likes it. I may try the silicone spray out.
Just about ready to get my machine back out and sew something before I go insane from the inactivity after Christmas from being sick.
I have the slider and two sets of gloves. They are nice, but my FMQ seems hopeless anyway. Maybe I need to try the spray also (on my SewSteady extension). I can't imagine ever being able to FMQ on something "real." Ugh.
