Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
Ok guys and dolls, I tried taking a picture of it with my cell phone, and it is apparently too big to load. I got a catalog for fabric, and on the cover is a picture of a quilt that my mom loves. To me, it looks like a cross between Jenny's Strip Stars, and http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchStarBlock.html Jenny's block has the strips for the stars going all the way to the middle, so does the pattern I'm looking for. However, the linked pattern has teh outside edges I'm looking for. :-) If anyone knows what I'm talking about, or where to find it, I would greatly appreciate knowing it too. Again, thank you very much!!

This place has tons of patterns. I did the one called Farm Friendliness... I liked the block but didn't like it all put together as shown, just to busy for me, so I made the block and then made my own sashing for it....5, 1" lengths of the same colors in the block. Turned out great...especially since it was my first squares and triangles type of quilt...very complicated for me, but I did it. and just need to bat and bind now! And you can print out the instructions to each block shown.

Is it something like the Amish star?

You could do jenny's strip star then add the outer parts.... Just a thought
Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
Where was the fabric catalog from?
Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
I'm sorry to say the catalog was from Hancock's of Paducah. The quilt is on the left side of the front cover. The Amish star is close also, just the strips for the center of the star start in the center. It looks like one strip is 8" long, it looks like it has a 6" and a 4" on either side of the center 8". I can prolly reverse engineer it, was just hoping for an easier way. :-) Hoping I could something like Jenny's Strip method.

I think this is the pattern you meant. Now maybe someone will know what pattern it is.

The quilt is called Nova and the designer is Kim Brackett. You can buy the kit from Hancock's or I found a book that has it in it on Amazon.

Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
I have been looking thru the patterns at http://www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore11.html i am on page 10 of 59, working my way towards 1, so only 9 more to go! I knew if I thru it out to you guys, you would know what I was talking about! thank you so much!!!!
Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
You might still find something very close to it without having to buy the book, but it does look like a good book. Definitely one I'm going to add to my wishlist.

Haha, I looked at all the quilts in that book and added it to my shopping cart on Amazon. It will sit there for a while and I may or may not order it. It has some decent quilts in it and that Nova quilt is made from strips.
Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
It looked like fun, and after watching Jenny's Tutorial on the Strip Star, I bet it would be similar. If not, maybe I can make a few tweaks to make it easy, if it is not already. I did buy the book on Amazon, so when it comes if you guys want some other patterns in there, let me know :-)
Re: Can't find Quilt pattern, any help is appreciated
I was looking for some inspiration this morning in bed and I came across the nova pattern as a free download. I know you already ordered the book but in case anyone wanted the pattern here is the link:

My mistake. Looks like you can only download if you are a shop owner and buying bolts of fabric from that line :(
