Default marking tool for dark fabric

I usually use the Pilot Frixon pen to mark my fabrics. When you iron it the lines totally disappear on light fabrics. I love it, but I've noticed that it leaves a light colored residue on darker fabrics. I'm marking a design on the center squares of my wall hanging which are medium to dark prints. I don't want to wash my whole wall hanging when I'm finished, but need something to mark the designs. Does anyone have a favorite marking tool that will work well for marking a small design from a template, show up on dark fabric, and will EASILY wipe off with a damp cloth. I'm going to FMQ it (and I'm not very good at it) so I need something that can be seen easily as I quilt. Thanks! Here's a pic again so you can see the colors.Click image for larger version.
