Hehe, it was weird seeing it pop up. I kept wondering what I'd hit in my post, then realized that you had posted it.

If you can do Half Square Triangles, the quilt I did was pretty easy and went together fast.

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Thank you all so much for the great advice!
I think I will go out tomorrow and get fabric for this one! I have realy no idea what a I-Spy Version of this block means.....but the pictures seem to me easy enouhg to get this done before I will cross the ocean..............

I'm so excited to go, although the main reason is sad, but we still can have a good time together and go out and do some quilting-shopping.......

I think that this I Spy D9P could be what you need to think about. I used the idea and found it very helpful and lots of fun to make.
She gives directions of how to set the featured squares so that when they are turned the subject will be upright. Her list for materials also is helpful. Good luck.

Klasien, although the reason is very sad, you will be blessed in so many ways for doing this small bit for your friend. Several years ago my best friend lost her husband and I was not able to be there for her at the time. It was several months before I could make a trip and spend time with her. I found her, naturally, in the deepest funk. But, after talking and getting her out of the house, she began to perk up and later told me that she was ready to end it all until I got there.

Your support will mean more than you can ever imagine. Go for it!!

I'm with Sandy! I keep seeing these quilts that are simply large squares sashed and cornerstones. That would make a lovely quilt with large print fabrics! Super easy to make. Post pics when you get it finished. I'll be anxious to see the fabrics and what you decided to make.

Thank you all for the good and kind words.

I did some shopping and found the fabric, not all I wanted, but I'm happy with the Dutch look of it..

Also I found a pattern that I like almost better than the one I had picked before, it's a little modern, but also very good for bigger prints.....this is so hard to make the right choice. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2012/01/...uilt.html#more

(I have never made a quilt to give away, so it feels like this should be more than perfect......)

Here is the fabric I got, all red-white-blue!!!
