My next challenge... Any tips before I start

This is a quilt out of the Jelly Roll Quilts book by Pam and Nicky Lintott. The pattern is called Starlight Express. It looks fairly straightforward and the book is very easy to follow, just wondering if any of you experienced quilters have any tips on sewing this kind of pattern with diamond shapes. I suppose the reason I ask is that the book says that this pattern should appeal to the more ambitious quilter, so I'm a little hesitant. I have at least a couple of weeks before I start as I am waiting for an order from MSQC with my background fabric, and I plan to take it slow and get every seam to match up. This is the first quilt that I will be making just for me and I can't wait to snuggle under it when winter comes.
