Default How to make blocks even

I was sewing my rectangle blocks up and noticed I am very bad at a couple of things.
I am using precuts that have pinked edges...which I now believe I do not like much. If the pinking isn't lined up it makes me think my edges are not together but if I match the pinking the strips ends are not even.

I don't think my pressing is very good because the blocks are a bit lopsided...BUT this could be bad sewing or bad cutting or combination of the three.

As I was getting crooked blocks I was a bit fed up and stopped trying to get them even thinking I'll even the edges later.
How do you make a block (or rectangle) even when ALL the edges are skewed? Some are not sewn evenly and I think it's because I pressed wrong and the ends meet at the top edge but not the bottom. I also think I must be ironing instead of pressing...but not sure how to get my seams flat with out some degree of "ironing"...

I am really a beginner and sewing all these precuts is helping me see where I need to improve...but I could really use some tips.

How to even up when ALL edges are crooked?
When pre-cuts have pinked edges should I cut those off and match my edges better?
Is there a good tutorial (MSQC or otherwise) showing good pressing techniques?
Will I get better or am I doomed?
My badly done blocks are making me more convinced I shouldn't be let near my uncut FQ and yardage. If I can't get precuts right how on earth will I be able to do fabric I have to cut myself and have it come out right?

    I think that is all...

    Lol

Maybe the most any of us can expect of ourselves isn't perfection but progress.
