Re: Quilt or tie this?
I think this is a stunning quilt. If you decide you want to quilt it yourself i think big stitch quilting would finish it off beautifully. Some straight line quilting would be great also, if you want to try it on your machine. This size is definitely do-able on a domestic machine, especially for straight lines.
Slainte!

Your quilt is beautiful! I was also going to suggest big stitch quilting or stitch in the ditch.

I like it! Definitely should be quilted not tied. Simple quilting, diagonally or straight line? You have a nice quilt there!!

I really like your quilt, and the size is a nice size for a throw. Perhaps you need to set it aside for awhile and come back to it. You might feel different about it with a fresh look a little later.

I have yet to quilt, but I must say your quilt is like a painting and really is beautiful, I look forward to hearing and seeing it finished.

Re: Quilt or tie this?
Thanks, that is true. I've recently gotten back into the hobby after taking a break fora few years because the quilt below was messed up. When I put the border on I must have been pulling it because there are huge puckers in it. I didn't feel right about starting another while this was unfinished. My mother finally convinced me to just dart the puckers and finish it and now it's one of my favorites. Maybe I will try starting something else for awhile.

Thanks for all the help and praise--you're all very sweet.
