What color sashing to go with this jelly roll?
I bought the Artisan Batiks Serendipity 2 jelly roll to do the 3 Dudes quilt for my little girl. The colors are perfect for her! I haven't decided if I want to do the twist version (does that look possible with this jelly roll? It's a little different than the original one used.) or if I want to do the one from Jenny's original tutorial. I've seen where some people used sashing to break up the business of the quilt. Can't decide if it needs it with this color scheme or not. Basically I can't decide anything lol. Except that I want to do the 3 Dudes pattern. Anyway, if I can do the twist pattern I'd like to try it. My main dilemma is - what solid color would go best with this? I bought white but now I'm wondering if black would look better, or even a dark purple.
So I thought I'd ask for advice from those who've done the quilt already, or are familiar with that collection of colors.
Thanks everyone!

I can see it with a mid or mid to light lilac or purple.

Yeah, I was sure it was either white or black until I held purple up to it, and started thinking maybe that was the direction to go. It would definitely make it more feminine, wouldn't it? I'll check out what shades of purple are available and see what I think. Thanks!

I don't know what age your daughter is - perhaps ask her? She may have a favorite color to use as the sashing.

She's only 8 weeks old. Once she's old enough, I'll be making her more that she can input on but for now, purple is one of her colors in her nursery as well as one of the colors she looks prettiest in right now, so I figured I'd go with more of a purple theme. Although now I am thinking about doing the serendipity quilt instead. Too many decisions to make!:)
