I have enjoyed this scrappy star. I think it's fun and a bit different, with a bit of a challenge. I hand piece so it takes me a bit longer but I enjoy it. I am working on building blocks but I like this alot.

    Very nice block!

I think I would like to try it one day. Is there a tutorial? Or where can I find the pattern? I found one but it says to trim down the blocks to fit. Is there a pattern out there where you don't have to trim all the point blocks?

Yes, there is a Tutorial, Jenny done it a while back, I think it is called Scrappy Star.
I've been seeing some similar stars, but they must be smaller, they are 6 & or 9 patch this is a 16 . Might be its name? I can't remember 1/2 of the time if I Don't write it down.

Her techniques on this is unique. I like it. Makes perfect points.
