I love the look of an Irish Chain quilt, so I adapted Irish Chain elements to design a quilt to use up small scraps. I placed the pieces with no consideration of value or color. This is the result. I need to add a border to finish off the pointed edges and then quilt it.

This must be my favorite quilt, because I have two more in progress. One is the same piecing pattern, except that I paid attention to color and value in placing the pieces. I have the blocks made for it, but they are not yet sewn together. I started a third set of blocks using only batik scraps. In the batik version, I added some 16-patches. I don't have much progress on the batik blocks yet.

My favorite is always the current quilt I'm working on. But if I were to suggest 2 fun quilts that go together quickly and easily (and look harder than they are) they would be:

Tonight I've been working on my third version of the Yellow Brick Road quilt. It always turns out so pretty, and each so different! It goes together quickly, which is why I've repeated it twice, but I also really love the results. In the end, like others, I really like every quilt I make - even when they are very challenging!

There are some beginner patterns that I love to make over and over, like turning twenty or Eleanor Burns' log cabin, or her trip around the world. There is something satisfying about making something simple, cozy, and love able..... Without a lot of stress.

The Fat Quarter Shop has a pattern called Crazy Eights, I have made at least four or five as baby gifts!

Most of what I make I enjoy but this one is tops. I enjoy making little blocks. I love the sawtooth star. Using the points that I cut off of flippy corners on a previous quilt top to make the star points was fun. Working with scraps is very satisfying.

My favorite so far has been the binding star quilt. It goes together easily and is so dramatic!

Wow!! I love ALL your quilts! !! And ideas! I'm sure if each one of us was given the same bundle of fabrics and instructed to go create, we would all come up with different quilts from each other, but they would all be absolutely wonderful!!
