    Default Need help with applique

I have done only very simple applique, but the Row xRow I got haas lot of applique with some very tiny pieces. I am managing to get them fused...BUT....

What stitch do Iuse on the micro pieces...things like bird beaks and strands of grass? I usually applique with blanket stitch...do I use straight stitch or what? Pretty scared that after all the work if cutting and fusing I am going to mess it up stitching.

    Thanks for any help!

On those really small pieces I usually just use a straight stitch. Don't be afraid to try. You can practice on a scrap small piece first to make sure you have the proper stitch length. Go for it!

In one of the rows I picked up, it said to straight stitch around the appliques. I studied the sample, that's what she'd done, sure enough.
Seems like there's going to be a lot of appliqueing in my life... if it ever gets to where I don't have company all the time.

and- on the sample, it wasn't pristine. There was a lot of wiggle in those little lines. SO, go for it.
