Re: chevron
If it's wide enough for you I would trim it like the left. Pretty colors!

Re: chevron
Just measured it without the white triangles, I think I will need them, it's not quiet as wide as I had planned for some reason, length is right tho.

Re: chevron
From the look of it, you might have to do Y seams to put the triangles in now. Another option is to trim it up an put a white border to get the width you need.

Re: chevron
This is really pretty and the colors are very fresh and happy. If you feel you need it a little wider, I would trim the edge and put on a white border - just because that seems easier than all those triangles....
Slainte!

Re: chevron
I love how fresh and pretty your chevron quilt is.... Great job.
I don't think I would go yo all the trouble if doung those triangles....unless it's something you really love.... A white border would work.... Or... Just trim the dudes, and use white for the binding... I like that idea...

Re: chevron
If you have enough of the fabrics to do so, my recommendation is to make a narrow white inner border around the quilt and use one of the other fabrics to make a wide outer border to bring the quilt to the necessary size. Using the background fabric to frame a design before adding the border creates a nice finish for a block design, like the chevrons, that has a lot of movement.

It's a pretty quilt. Chevron is on my list of 'wanna-try' patterns.
