Charms, and layer cakes oh my
Are the MSQC patterns listed also by which uses which pack so you can prepare for the pattern? as in an index
you know, say there is a sale on something and you wanted to do a pattern . When the sale comes you would know to buy that particular item so you could make such and such..
I can't afford to just buy packs and then decide what to use it for. I am just at the point where i can make a quilt and I rather make them according to what I have.
Re: Charms, and layer cakes oh my
Sorry I can't help you. I am a terrible random charm pack buyer, just buy whatever suits my fancy. Not the best method I'm afraid. But it's fun shopping like that. I'm sure someone will have a better answer than this.

On the tutorial page you can click on "TAGS" and it will show you only the ones made with that particular precut.

That is Exactly what I need. Thank you for the help.
Re: Charms, and layer cakes oh my
You can also look in the quilt shop and you'll find some (not all) patterns broke into categories by pre cut
Re: Charms, and layer cakes oh my
Oh don't forget to check the Moda Bake Shop. They also have quilts divided into categories of precuts. And if you don't see anything you like click on view older posts and more will show. The Bake Shop also rates each of their patterns, easy, intermediate or difficult, which is helpful.
Re: Charms, and layer cakes oh my
If you go to the M* YouTube channel, they have organized the tutorials into playlists by type of precut.

I just don't know why this isn't evident. Maybe there should be a file that says how to find patterns.. thank you again for this way.
