Default Binding flange -- both sides?

ive had no luck searching the web, I end up with results for double fold binding instead. I've got a mini quilt I was making for experimentation, and now that I'm delighted it worked out my mind is apparently stuck in experiment mode!

I want to make a flange on both front and back. Has anyone seen a tutorial or have ideas how to do it?

My ideas so far are to just stitch down the flange first, wrapping both sides, sewing far enough from the edge to leave the flange. Or sew a regular flange on one side, then use one of the tutorials for a faux flange (where you sew two strips to make your binding, one being the flange color that will be on the folded edge).

I've used this tutorial to do the flange on the front - 52 Quilts in 52 Weeks: Tuesday Tutorial: Susie's Magic Binding

I guess you could add a flange to the back before you add the binding - just fold a strip in half and baste or sew it on, then add the binding using the tutorial above.

Lisa, that's the binding I meant, thank you. I think I'm going to try it that way, as it seems the most straight forward.
