I am making the tree skirt for a wedding gift. I don't have a long arm quilter. My mom and I are hand quilters. I really just want to quilt the tree skirt on my sewing machine, but I am so afraid I am going to ruin the project. I was wanting to know if there are different settings I need to make such as stitch length or tension. I would so appreciate the help. I have never hand quilted in a hoop either. We always set up the quilting frame (from my Grandma I really don't have the time to do this by hand.
