When I did the palette one color that was returned that intrigued me was Bella Ochre. Lovely with that group of fabrics. It didn't have a green recommendation. I originally thought of using Silver or even Steel as the background. I want a contemporary look. When I get the FQ bundle in hand I think I might take a photo of it and use Palette Builder again. I want to know if the FQ Shop hot pink logo influences the software too much or whether the same recommendations are returned. I usually use M* illustrations with no logo.

The quilt I am working on now is using the Grunge fabrics and the silver Bella. I would say it is more of a medium grey. I think ash is lighter.

I'm thinking more and more that maybe I should go with a darker grey. I won't dismiss the idea entirely until I have the fabric in my hands but its niggling at me. I just dont want a dark coverlet that doesn't feel summery. But a grey that can compete with the flashy splashies of the corals, goldenrod, and orange (not to mention yellow) must be a dark one.

Light ones didnt cut it, as one lovely helpful lady's experiments seem to show. The fabric has a lot of gold in it.

Is there another colour I could use other than grey in a dark tone that would still be summery? Or maybe a lighter tone like cyan/mint? I need time to let my Cdn shipping work itself out as well as time to digest the tones.

This is a picture that makes me think a darker grey might work with this collection.
