    Default Pattern help please

I want to make my daughter a lap/throw size quilt for Christmas using the Holiday Magic material, I have the fat quarter in my shopping cart and would love ideas for a pattern to use. I don't mind buying extra yards if I need them and prefer something with a larger center in the block . Suggestions? 😊

I think the Big Star Charm quilt would make what you want. It's a Jenny tutorial, but I don't know how to put in the link.

There are a few pieces in this bundle that I'd hate to cut up too small because you'd miss the print in it (like the one with the deer); so you are right on in wanting a larger center square!

Log Cabin (see my notes in my profile for some resources)

Fussy Cutting a center block and sashing around it. Jenny fussy cuts a secondary quilt in one of her tutorials to make a kids quilt, but I don't recall the name of the main tutorial.

If your daughter is "fun & quirky" vs. more traditional, you could do a Wonky Block w/ a fussy cut fabric in the center.

Here are my two favorite Wonky Block tutorials:

Thank you so much for the ideas! I'm going to try the Big Star Charm Quilt. I'm so excited and will post picture when done!
