Well I tried to get mine sharpened and was told to hang them up. I have. Haven't used them in years. I have several Fiskers that I use, but no pinking. If they make some, I'm sure they will be good. The shears I had were Weiss.
I got a new one, a friend of mine got me one as a gift, she bought it at Ikea......works really well :)
I have a pair of Fiskars they work great. Don't use them much though.
Also having pinking blades for my rotary cutter that work well.
I bought the pinking blade for one of my rotary cutters. It works great and I use it anytime I'm cutting very much. The ravels drive me crazy (Yes, I know it is a short drive. No sense in starting the car, LOL). It makes for a much neater back side of the quilt top.
I have a pinking blade for my rotary cutter. If you want a pair of pinking shears, Fiskars work well and are affordable. I have two pairs of the old Wiss shears you mentioned and neither of them work well anymore.
I got a pair from Kai Scissors
As with all their scissors, the pinking shears are great.
I'd definitely vote for the Kai if you are seriously considering a GREAT pair. I have a pair of Ginghers and a pair of Wiss but don't use them much.
I have to say, though Bob is disturbed by frays, I'm more concerned about strays and I understand he may be needing a home . . .
My Fiskars pinking shears do a great job.
I have one pair of Gingher pinking shears - they work great but they are heavy - I also have the pinking blade for my rotary cutter - I love that too.
I recently replaced my Fiskars with Ginghers. The Fiskars worked well until I loaned them to someone. I got the Ginghers at 50% off at JA and they'll be staying at home.
Wawak.com has all their Fiskars on sale 30% off today only. 1-22.
