sailboat tutorial
I have finished the boats, although I made them with the 5" hexi for a crib quilt. Is there a white border before the dark one? Is there more instruction about adding the sashing?

Re: sailboat tutorial
Yes. Just looking for a little guidance on the blocks without sashing. Is there a white strip added to keep them equal?

Re: sailboat tutorial
Do you mean after you put all your blocks together? Then there is a thin white strip for the first border, and then there is another boarder that is wider. Is that what you mean?

Re: sailboat tutorial
Or do you mean between the blocks? If you are not putting a sashing strip between the blocks you will need to make one end of the block longer than the other so they offset like Jenny did hers.

Re: sailboat tutorial
Sheila, yes, the strips between blocks help separate them. Notice Jenny is saying add the strip (2.5 inches) to the right of the block. (or make the blocks longer on the right side as FabStripper noted) There is also, it looks like a 1 1/5 strip around all of the blocks as well to even out the design. Hope this helped you
