I'm still decluttering my closet for Quilting Storage . . . since it has been suggested that I could use fabric from 'what was my work slacks' for a quilt, I'm wondering if there's any chance I could also use fabric from some very nice blouses . . some silk, some polyester and some light cotton. I'm wondering if you could back the fabric with a fusible to give it enough 'body' to make it work. Has anybody ever done anything like this?
I'm kind of excited thinking I could create a 'stash' from what I was planning to donate right from my very own closet!! I've spent the last few days 'dry cleaning' (in my home dryer) . . . or washing/drying appx 24 pairs of slacks and abt 6 suit jackets - to make a quilt for my Mr. - I think it could be a nice quilt. Just gotta decide on a pattern for it! Now if I could get the same vision for a quilt with my blouses . . . wouldn't that be great??![]()
