I have made the yellow brick road baby quilt 3 times. I just did a quick peek at the pattern and if I am not mistaken you are pretty close to the actual "cut" size. (I am looking at this pattern on my iPad while riding in the car). If there is not a lot of squaring up of the material couldn't you just reduce you cuts by 1/4 to 1/2 inch to compensate for the blocks? Then if you wanted to make it bigger add borders? I always like to add a 1" finished border before putting on the bigger border like on this quilt. Just a thought. Click image for larger version.
