I am doing a huge quilt for..............are you sitting down......US! Taking orders, promises, everything is on hold until this is done. I am doing an applique and block quilt and am using the legend of the Hare and the Moon.

this is a celtic legend I grew up with, similar legends are found in many eastern countries but the one I loved as a child was a Pagon legend which involves eternal love, renewed health and new beginnings whilst holding onto memories of loved ones.

So as you can imagine my applique blocks involve a lot of hares and moons and night skies. I need a thread I can use in my machine to overlay onto of the quilting. I want to swirl and highlight the moons and add a glow around it. I want a soft but thick thread to do this.

Any suggestions?
