I just saw a video of the Farmer's Wife being done with "piecing NOT Templates"..does anyone know if the Book and CD give both options.. I KNOW I would not enjoy "cutting templates"... ?

The book only gives the template option. You can figure out some of the measurements for the blocks yourself like for the Box and Basketweave blocks. I suggest that you check out Karen Walker's site: laugh yourself into Stitches*: The Farmer's Wife Quilt Revival Class Starts Now! I bought her patterns through Craftsy. She does all 111 blocks over (I think) 12 months. There is no hand piecing and only a very few templates. I'm actually making some headway with the blocks since I found her patterns! If you buy the book, I highly recommend having the binding spiral bound.

I am seeing so much about the Farmer's Wife pattern. I think it's going to be the next Big Thing. Last year I think it was the Swoon block. I'm behind times, too much time on here, not enuf time sewing, cause I haven't made either (yet) but I love "following" the trends.
