Question Easy Angle & Companion Angle substitutes......

I'm wanting to make My Blue Heaven by Bonnie Hunter. She uses/recommends these two rulers. I was wondering if anyone knew if Creative Grids has something comparable? I like their rulers because of the grips but I'm getting lost trying to figure out what would work!!

Like you, whenever possible, I get Creative Grids rulers; however, I needed the Easy Angle and Companion Angle rulers for a class I was taking with Darlene Zimmerman. She recommended using InvisiGrip by Omnigrid on the back of the rulers so they wouldn't slip. It worked great. I purchased Invisigrip elsewhere, but I noticed that they have it in the quilting section of JoAnn Fabric.

I put invisigrip on my ruler - awesome! No more slipping!

I love my EZ Angle and Companion Angle rulers. I use Nextcare Clear tape on the back of all my rulers. It's inexpensive and works like a charm.

Is that the first aid tape? Do you just put a couple of strips down the ruler?

Me too. Bonnie Hunter gives that tip on her blog - it is see through and helps with no slipping.

This CG ruler looks like it may be comparable to the Easy Angle - Creative Grids USA - 45° Half-Square Triangle - and this one comparable to the Companion Angle - Creative Grids USA - 90° Quarter-Square Triangle
