Default How many machines have the IDT quilting foot?

Just wondering which brands have it. I know from reading posts that Pfaff has it was wondering if any other brands also have the built in walking foot. Thanks Ron for the video!

I like the way it looks a lot better than a chunky walking foot.

So, does your machine have a built in walking foot and do you like it?

My H-V has the clunky add-on . . . with exchangeable foot pads - one for stitch-in-the-ditch, one a 1/4 inch guide, a plain foot . . . seems as if there's another one that's still in the package. Also has the bars used for marking distance from previous lines of stitching. But it's chunky-clunky.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Bernina has a foot that is actually called an appliqué foot but it also works as a IDT foot as it has a "bar" right in the middle of the foot

I have two of the Chunky Clunky's. I have to figure out which one will work on the Singer Curvy that I have.

My Vikings-both of them, have attachable feet. My new Viking has a couple of quilting feet, but I forget that I have them and just stitch along with the main foot. I never thought of the look of the machine with the feet. Guess I'm too focused on the fabric!

BTW Viking makes the Pfaffs now, but don't know how that affects the feet.

Pfaff's IDT is a true, stand alone, no screwdriver needed, built in, permanent, dual feed system.

Some other brands may have a piece of their dual feed on the machine, but you still have to add other pieces to use it, then remove those pieces and put the original pieces back on when you don't want to use it.

When Pfaff's patent expired, Bernina started adding IDT to their newest machines.

It is just super easy and convenient to never need a screwdriver to engage/disengage dual feed. It takes less than a second to do it. And with Pfaff most of their feet can be used with IDT engaged.

The Babylock Quest had the same IDT as the Pfaff. I had a good long session with the Quest when it first came out. I have no idea what Babylock calls the Quest now. It was the Serenade.

The Quest and the Pfaffs with IDT were the only machines to deal with semi lightweight leather. Walking foot and teflon foot on none IDT machines didn't help.

My Bernina embroidery machine has it....it is the 830 something???
Not all pfaff machines have the IDT...you have to be careful if you are buying on ebay or something used. Not all sellers even know what you are talking about. I usually ask for a picture of the back of the machine showing the presser foot part. If you know what you are looking for, it is easy to see the built in IDT.
