Today I tried with IDT engaged AND lengthened the stitch length. I got much better results. Now I have practiced with a few more 10" squares I'm not going to use in the quilt and turned them into little zip bags (using Gourmet Quilter's technique). Having fun!! Thanks for all the advice.
