Where do you look for the NEW stuff hitting the shelves?

I've noticed if you know what you are looking for you can find it, but where do you look to see the new stuff hitting the shelves? You know, like that Fabric fashion week or something? What site grants you the news on what is new in quilting fabrics?

Or do you follow designers?

I think I see new fabrics in magazine advertisements the most. I also check out the blogs/facebook pages of designers that I like.

Oh yeah, I also check out my favorite Etsy shops to see what's new.

I used to like it when MSQC did a fabric focus on the blog. There hasn't been too much going on on the blog lately.

There are many quilt shops in my area that have web pages. I subscribe to them, and so I hear about the new lines in that way.

From what I can tell there is something called Quilt Market twice a year & I think that's where the new stuff is debuted. I'm guessing that is like the quilting Fashion Week. There are a few designers I follow on Instagram & I noticed them talking about it.

For Moda fabrics you can check the website Moda Fabrics - Producer of Quilting Fabric, Sewing Notions, and Home Decor and look for "Future Groups".

sign up for the newsletter via email on one or 2 of your favorite fabric sites and they should send you an email or catalog with the latest fabrics and notions coming out. Nancy's notions sends a catalog- Connecting threads sends a catalog- or Over the rainbow fabrics sends a e-mail. These are my favorite sites.

Do a search on Etsy using the name of fabric lines or designers that you like. That way you will find shops that carry the types of fabrics that you like and you can mark them as your favorites. When they add new things to their shops the new items will show up on your wall.

Since I live in your area, I was wondering if you could mention the quilt shops you mentioned. I think I have missed some, plus two really good ones closed in the past year. Thank you, Carolyn
