I am doing the Craftsy 2015 BOM with a black background fabric. It looks great in person. The black really makes the colors pop. When I try to photograph it my camera makes a muddy mess.

Are there any simple tips ( I am more a point and shoot kind of camera person, not very fancy) on how to photograph quilts with a black background?
