I have plenty of fabric to then fold back behind the stitching but perhaps I should do as others do and stitch it double in the first place. I also prefer to angle it and stitch it to a corner and then it gets stitched again with the binding. I don't usually sign on the label as I do this as a signature on the front corner of the quilt - just a show off, me!
