    Default Worn out Machingers gloves

I love my machingers gloves so much I have worn the rubberized tips right off them. I switched the gloves to the opposite hand and also worn the rubberized tips off the other side too. Is there any way to refurbish the gloves and get more use out of them? Something I can dip the tips of the fingers in maybe?

You might try painting a thin layer of rubber cement on the tips. Test in an out of the way spot first.

There is a product, available at Loews (and maybe some other big box stores) that is used to dip tool handles - it is a rubberized liquid that dries and appears very similar to the dots on your gloves. Laughing that you've worn them off! Quilter of the year award??

    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I don't know of a way to refurbish them, but to me, it's the best $9 spent, so I wouldn't hesitate to get another pair if mine were worn out. Love my Machingers!

Katie, better yet, go to Home Depot or Lowes and get the Ladies gardening gloves, that have the rubber on the finger and palms, much like Machingers. They work exceptionally well, and two pairs for 3 or 4 bucks, well, bargain, bargain! I use them all the time and they work great, and fit much better to boot.

I'd buy another pair too. By the time you pay to buy something to try to fix them, then end up having to buy a new pair because it didn't work, it will be worth it!

I'm on my 2nd pr. of Machingers. After repeated use & washings, the elastic at the wrists stretched, & they didn't stay on as well. I'd just buy another pair.

I have tried a few other kinds of gloves, including the gardening gloves. They are either too hot, too big or just uncomfortable for me. I prefer the Machingers. I don't spend a lot of money on "gadgets/tools" so I am willing to pay for this brand since they are the most comfortable for me. I've had mine at least 5-6 years. It's been a worthwhile investment.

Thanks Vickie. At this price it is easier to replace than to repair. I got some great other notions on sale too.
