I lost so many points.... It seemed inevitable, after trimming....many suggestions?

No suggestions, but I like it and...no one will ever notice once its quilted and washed. Unless you tell them! I like this better than falling charms. Adds a little more interest!
Sandy the only suggestion I have is that it is beautiful and will be loved for years.

(If all the pieces fit perfectly, people will think it was made by a machine!) LOL
I think your quilt looks nice! Perfection at getting the points comes with practice. Connecting threads has a tutorial that you might find interesting: Perfect Points and the Positioning Pin - Quilting Tutorial from ConnectingThreads.com
I don't use the pin, but I can always see if I have enough allowance for seaming and keeping my points.
When sewing your HST's together, you should have 1/4" at the edge. Then when you join your squares, the points will line up right at the edge. This is a picture from the Connecting threads tutorial listed above. You can see the 1/4" allowance for joining. With each project that you do, you will get better and better with the points.
Your quilt is lovely and I really like this new pattern from Jenny.
So pretty ! Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year .
I think this is a great quilt. I also like it better than the falling charms (although I like that too). Losing points is something that quilters might notice, but others don't, especially babies![]()

My solution [and it is not perfect in any way] is to make any HST and flying geese oversized then trim to the correct size for whatever pattern I am using. I spent part of yesterday patiently [?] trimming down 184 HST. It takes lots of extra time but saves me a little angst.
I also sew triangles with them facing up so I can see where the point is and sew my seam to the right of the X where the seam crosses.
Sandy you always make me laugh!

I think it is a beautiful quilt just as it is!
