No suggestions, but I like it and...no one will ever notice once its quilted and washed. Unless you tell them! I like this better than falling charms. Adds a little more interest!
Sandy the only suggestion I have is that it is beautiful and will be loved for years.
I think your quilt looks nice! Perfection at getting the points comes with practice. Connecting threads has a tutorial that you might find interesting: Perfect Points and the Positioning Pin - Quilting Tutorial from ConnectingThreads.com
I don't use the pin, but I can always see if I have enough allowance for seaming and keeping my points.
When sewing your HST's together, you should have 1/4" at the edge. Then when you join your squares, the points will line up right at the edge. This is a picture from the Connecting threads tutorial listed above. You can see the 1/4" allowance for joining. With each project that you do, you will get better and better with the points.
Your quilt is lovely and I really like this new pattern from Jenny.
So pretty ! Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year .
I think this is a great quilt. I also like it better than the falling charms (although I like that too). Losing points is something that quilters might notice, but others don't, especially babies :D
My solution [and it is not perfect in any way] is to make any HST and flying geese oversized then trim to the correct size for whatever pattern I am using. I spent part of yesterday patiently [?:icon_heh:] trimming down 184 HST. It takes lots of extra time but saves me a little angst.
I also sew triangles with them facing up so I can see where the point is and sew my seam to the right of the X where the seam crosses.

Sandy you always make me laugh!
I think it is a beautiful quilt just as it is!
My suggestion would be along the lines of SHARYN's use pins. Although I'm not the best at following my own suggestion when it come to pinning. I can see some points are off, but only because you told us. Otherwise I would of thought that was the idea. ***Sandy has it right!!!!Points are overrated, LOL
I love it and I lose points all the time. Its beautiful.
Georgia Bonesteel used to say if you can't see it from the saddle of a galloping horse, don't worry about it.
Your quilt is lovely.
It looks beautiful. I would call it rounded falling triangles :)
Hi. I'm a quilter in training. I'm making the falling triangle quilt and I'm also having a problem with losing my points. Some are perfect. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong to lose the points on some of my triangles
Thanks. Great idea. My husband says I try too hard
I need one too.
Thanks mcr.
Good idea Amy.
