    Default Aurifil Tnvisible Thread Help

I purchased a cone of Aurifil Smoke invisible thread. It's 16,400 yards. The problem is that I can't find where the thread starts so I can use it to quilt! Anyone have any pointers on this? Each time I try to find the end I make more of a mess of it!

Thank you in advance for any help!

I'd guess it would be at the base. Either tucked in a small slit. ran into my sewing room and looked at mine. When I lifted the net around the base there was a strand over the base under the net. I've had an invisable cone where I could not find the end and it sucked. Try placing something threw the cone and hold the thread diagonally spin it a few times and see if a strand falls loose. Good luck.

I have taken to using a piece of blue painters tape folded over the end of the thread.
This was after a game of "chase your tail" that wasted a bunch of time trying to find the little bugger.
